Rosemary A. Hare

Rosemary Anne Hare, age 89, of Doylestown, PA, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2023.

Born in 1933 in the Stanton Heights neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Urban and Armilda (Hagerling) Held.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Hare and her brothers, Daniel and John Held.

Rosemary is survived by her loving children: Thomas, Daniel (Joyce), Joseph (Maria), Michael (Lori) and Mary Anne (Glen) Baumgart; her grandchildren: Amanda (Kevin), Daniel, John Paul, James (Sarah), Joseph (Megan), Jason and Madisyn; her sisters-in-law, Jean Held of Utica, MI and Lois Held of Pittsburgh and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Rosemary was a proud graduate of Mount Mercy College (now Carlow University) in Pittsburgh, PA.

Rosemary retired as a Registered Dietician and Director of Food Services for Neshaminy Manor in Doylestown, PA. She was an active member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church until she moved to Elm Terrace Gardens in Lansdale to live out the rest of her days.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 20 at St Anne’s Chapel at Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine, 654 Ferry Road, Doylestown. Interment will follow Mass in The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery. The family will greet guests from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday evening, March 19 at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown.
