Kathleen Wester Mahanes of Doylestown passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 1, 2021. She was 78 years old, and the wife of the late Walter Mahanes.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, Kathy was the daughter of the late Edward and Lucinda
(Gutmann) Wester.

Kathy was a graduate of New Providence High School, New Providence, New Jersey and the University of Maryland. She was a financial executive for several international automotive companies, having resided in Baltimore, Detroit, Pittsburgh and Minneapolis prior to moving to Doylestown in 1995.

Kathy loved traveling, her opera group, playing bridge and spoiling her miniature schnauzer, Teve. She was an active member of Doylestown Presbyterian Church.

Kathy is survived by her sister, Dolores Shaw (George); her niece, Laura Polchan (Clinton); her nephew, Kevin Shaw (Lauren); her grandnieces Kaylie Polchan and Gwenyth Shaw and her grandnephew, Ryan Polchan.

Services will be held privately.
