Joseph R. Kissel of Perkasie, died at home on Friday, October 2, 2020. He was 81 and the husband for 56 wonderful years of Jane Hartzell Kissel.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Emil J. and Evelyn Cassidy Kissel.

Joe served in the Army and the National Guard. He was a police officer for Doylestown Borough, having served for twenty-eight years and retiring at the rank of Sergeant.
He and Jane loved to travel. Joe enjoyed his trains, his dogs and grandpuppies.

In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his sons: Joseph Kissel, Jr. and Russell C. Kissel and his brother, Edward Kissel, his wife. Sue. He was predeceased by brother, Donald.

Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service at 11 a.m., on Friday, October 16 at Rockpoint Church, 4877 Bergstrom Road, Doylestown where the family will receive guests from 10 a.m., until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
