Barbara E. Polaneczky of Plumstead Township passed away on Thursday, June 3 at home surrounded by her family at the age of 78. She was the wife for 58 years of Thomas R. Polaneczky, who passed in 2011.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Caroline (Kline) Banks.

Barbara was a graduate of Catasauqua High School and Allentown Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for several decades as an RN, the majority of her career spent at the Pine Run Community.  Barb enjoyed cooking, crocheting, gardening and traveling with her daughter.

She is survived by her son, Louis, and his children: Rory, Ele and Haley of Hatboro; her daughter, Caroline Macri (Steve) and their children: Connie, Tommy, Barbara, Irene, Maria, Steven, Genevieve and Christine of Plumstead Township; her daughter, Dr. Christine Polaneczky of Bristol; and her son, Paul of Chalfont..

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday June 12th at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 353 East Dark Hollow Rd, Pipersville, Pennsylvania  18947.  Interment will be private.
