William J. Seltzer of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, formerly of Southampton, passed on October 11, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was ninety years old and the loving husband of Jean Seltzer (Heaney). Born in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Joseph A. Seltzer and Margaret Seltzer (Anmerman).
A man of many skills and interests, William (Bill) enjoyed a long life and fulfillment in both his professional and personal endeavors. He graduated from Cheltenham High School in 1949, served in the U.S. Navy Reserve, and then concluded his service as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, stationed in Baumholder, Germany.
He started at the ground level in the machine shop and rose to an Internal Sales Coordinator across a lengthy and rewarding career at SPS Technologies in Glenside, Pennsylvania.
Outside of his work, Bill was a talented woodworker and photographer, enjoyed camping, travel, and the great outdoors, was an avid reader, and volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader.
He cherished time with his family, friends, and wife of 63 years with whom he shared countless stories of his many adventures over nearly a century of life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Dawn Boger (Seltzer), her husband, Brian, grandson, Paul Boger, his wife, Kris, and dozens of beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 12:45 p.m., Sunday, October 24 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, 65 East Street Road, Feasterville, Pennsylvania. The family will greet guests from 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Masks and socially distance seating will be required to ensure safety. Interment will be private.
