Theresa Marie Comerford, 83, of Doylestown, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Theresa attended St. Hubert Catholic High School for Girls, starring in plays and spending time with her sorority sisters – friendships that continued throughout the years.
Theresa met the love of her life while in high school, Joseph Comerford. It was love at first sight; they married and raised their children in Feasterville, Pa. Tragically, Joseph passed away far too young in 1988, but was able to take great pride in seeing his first grandchild, Joseph Comerford.
Early in her career, Theresa worked at General Electric in Philadelphia on the marketing team in special programs for the government. Theresa was a teacher at various schools in Bucks County. Later in her career Theresa headed up marketing teams with print and media companies in Bucks County and Philadelphia.
Theresa moved from Feasterville to Egg Harbor, New Jersey for a few years, then finally to Doylestown in 2012. Theresa continued her passion for singing throughout her life along with her great love of traveling, the arts and studying different cultures. Reading was yet another great passion; she was able to consume a huge novel in one night. Theresa loved dining out and most definitely had her favorite haunts. If you were visiting in Egg Harbor you were going to the Crab Trap, the Plumsteadville Inn if coming to Doylestown.
Theresa was immensely proud of her four children and her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved hearing of their amazing adventures and accomplishments, visiting with them (Face Time during COVID), watching them grow and evolve and just enjoying their wonder.
She was a fierce advocate and there is no one you wanted in your corner more than Theresa; she fought like no other for what she believed in. A woman of true substance, Theresa is a Queen who wore the crown with grace and elegance. We celebrate your spirit, your humor and extreme acts of kindness. We will miss you dear, great lady.
Theresa is survived by her children, Joseph and Christine Comerford, Kevin Comerford, Thomas and Christie Comerford and Noreen Comerford, as well as her grandchildren: Joseph and Meghan Comerford, Abigail and Michael Ostermann, Emily Comerford and fiancée Michael Moore, Molly Comerford, Callie Comerford and Ciana Comerford, and great-grandchildren, Kimberly Ostermann, Joseph Carl Ostermann and Callum Roy Comerford.
