Theodore “Ted” A. Jarrett of Doylestown passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 86 years old and the husband for more than sixty years of Joan A. (Partsch) Jarrett.
Born in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, Ted was the son of the late Raymond D. and Sara O. (Berger) Jarrett.
Ted joined the United States Air Force after graduating from Lewisburg High School, serving from 1954 – 1958. He attended Millersville State College on the GI Bill, earning a Bachelor of Sciencein Education, later earning a Master of Education from Trenton State. Mr. Jarrett taught industrial arts for thirty years, primarily in the Central Bucks School District. He was an avid woodworker, also enjoying traveling, watching sports, reading, gardening and bird watching. He was a devoted father who always found time to play with, coach or participate in his children’s activities.
In addition to his wife, Joan, he is survived by his three daughters: Donna (David) Hahn of Doylestown, Diane (Joseph Maioriello) of Oley, PA and Karen (David) Kappre of Monroeville, NJ, as well as four grandchildren: Lauren Hahn and Jarrett, Jason and Jenna Maioriello. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Spencer, Albuquerque, NM and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his grave side service at 10 a.m., Friday, May 12, at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler.
