Sarah Mae Landes went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 24, 2018 at Peter Becker Community, Harleysville. She was 94 and the wife for 67 years of the late Oliver T. Landes who passed in 2009. She was one of 11 children born in Tinicum to the late Lula and Rudolph Segletes.
Sarah is survived by her daughters: Nancy High Ballein (George) and Debara Valeri (Ken, who passed in 2016). She was affectionately known as “Nan” to her grandchildren: Duane High (Debby), Carla Tuhacek (Don), Laren Jansen (Alex) and Nowell Valeri (Sadie); two step-grandchildren: George III (Bernice) and Beth Ballein; nine great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters: Patricia Ristow (Ed) and Elizabeth Crow.
Sarah was a long-time member of Grace Gospel Chapel, Plumsteadville and Doylestown Garden Club.
Prior to her retirement she was employed in food services at Delaware Valley College. She also performed private catering for weddings and parties.
Sarah won numerous ribbons for cake decorating and floral arranging. Her joyful sprit and good humor will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to her memorial service at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 7 at Grace Gospel Chapel, 5582 Easton Road, Plumsteadville, PA 18949, where the family will receive guests from 10:30 a.m., until the time of the service.. Interment will be private in Nockamixon Union Cemetery.
