Samuel Joseph Arrigo, Sr. of Castle Rock, Colorado died on May 31, 2019. He was 90 years old and the husband of Elizabeth Aherne Arrigo.
Born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Samuel was the son of Santo and Rose Tursi Arrigo.
Samuel moved to Upper Bucks County at a young age and attended Nockamixon Elementary/High school.
Samuel was drafted in 1950 and served in the U.S. Army artillery. He attended Temple University in Philadelphia, and was subsequently employed as a civil engineer employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, a career lasting more than thirty years.
Upon retirement, Samuel lived in Ottsville until moving with his wife, Elizabeth, to Castle Rock, Colorado in 2000. His hobbies included hunting, target shooting and gardening. He was a member of the American Legion from the time he was discharged from the military.
In addition to his wife, Samuel is survived by two sons: Samuel Jr. and Peter and three grandchildren. m His youngest son Chris preceded him in death.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 7 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 235 East State Street, Doylestown. Interment will follow Mass in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
