Sally Maximuck of Buckingham passed away on November 27, 2018. She was 86 years old and the beloved wife for 60 years to the late Walter Maximuck, Sr. who passed in 2011.
Born in Warminster, she was the daughter of the late Emma Fesmire and William Tanner, Sr. and was also preceded in death by her four sisters: Miriam Dilks, Eleanor Kimbel, Alberta Forsyth and Arlene Luff; four brothers, Walter, Edwin, William and Leonard Tanner; two sisters-in-law, Thelma J. and Charlotte M. Tanner; three brothers-in-law, Evan Kimbel, Robert Dilks, Clarence Luff and grandson, ‘Chris’ Maximuck.
Sally was a life-long resident of Bucks County, a 1949 graduate of Council Rock High School and spent almost 70 years on the farm in Buckingham that she and Walt owned. Sally was a devoted wife, mother, grandmom, great-grandmom and sister and showed that love through food. She cooked copious amounts of food for family and anyone else who happened to be around the farm during meal time. From time to time, Sally could be seen driving a tractor, or the lawn mower, working in the large vegetable garden. However, she was most often found in the kitchen or supporting one of her children or grandchildren in their many activities. Sally was also a long-time congregant of the Covenant Church in Buckingham.
Sally is survived by her children and their spouses: Walt, Jr. and Nancy Maximuck, Matt and Cheryl Maximuck, Marilyn and Jon Fineman, Maxine and John Daly, Bill and Madeleine Maximuck and Wendy and Jim Fenwick: her fourteen grandchildren and their spouses; Jennifer Tilch (Paul); Melissa Jarrett (Matt), Matt Maximuck Jr.; Aaron, Laura Wong (Eric) and Dana Fineman; Rachael and Megan Daly; Billy (Patricia), James and Erika Maximuck; Jonathan, Jacob and Analise Fenwick: her six great-grandchildren: Cullen, Gwyndolin, Griffin, Liam, Harper and Colin, as well as her brother, Norman Tanner and his wife, Joan, her brother-in-law George Forsyth, and sisters-in-law, Grace Tanner and Dorothy Tanner.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service 10 a.m., Monday, December 3, 2018 at Covenant Church, 4000 US-202, Doylestown, where the family will receive guests from 9 a.m., until the time of the service. Interment will follow the service in Mechanicsville Cemetery, Mechanicsville. A viewing will also be held Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown.
