Ronald L. Zeller of Sellersville, formerly of Doylestown passed away on Friday, August 25th. He was 87 years old and the husband of the late Audrey E. Zeller.
Ronald was born in Reading, the son of the late Edward F. and Carrie Zeller.
Ronald was a graduate of Moravian University. ln addition, he received a Master’s Degree from Columbia University, and course work at Temple University. While in Bethlehem, he met Audrey, his future wife; the light of his life.
As a Reading and English Teacher his career began in the private school system which eventually paved the way into the public-school system. Ron retired from the Central Bucks School District in 1993 after nineteen years of dedicated service.
Ron was known for his quick wit, humor and as a kind and caring person. An avid outdoorsman Ron could be found hiking, camping, backpacking, canoeing, and cross-country skiing with his family and also during his tenure as the Scoutmaster of Troop 18, Doylestown.
He was extremely fond of and dearly loved his grandchildren, Samantha and Seth and was instrumental in introducing them to music, the arts, and love of the outdoors.
Ronald is survived by his son Scott, (Stacy) and two grandchildren: Samantha and Seth.
We are saddened by the passing of our loving Father, Pop Pop, and teacher. We shall forever hold his memory close to our hearts.
His funeral service will be at 12 p.m., Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown, where the family will greet guests from 11 a.m., until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Doylestown Cemetery.
