Robert D.”Bob” Amerman , 74, of Doylestown, PA died peacefully surrounded by family on January 3, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer. He was the devoted husband for 52 years of Michele (Katzin) Amerman.
Born in Philadelphia to the late Elmer and Jennie (McCormick) Amerman, Bob graduated from North Catholic High School and LaSalle University.
Bob was a certified public accountant and president of Robert D. Amerman & Company in Jamison, PA. He was well respected by his staff, clients and business associates. Bob was an avid Philadelphia sports fan – a devout Eagles season ticket holder who rarely ever missed a home game over the past 40 years. He loved golf and was a former member of Buck Hill Golf Club in the Poconos.
Bob loved spending time with family in the Poconos and going on adventurous vacations in places like Yellowstone National Park; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Banff, Alberta, Canada; and in Disney World.
Bob is survived by in addition to his wife, Michele, his two loving sons: Rob and Kevin; Kevin's wife, Melissa; and three grandchildren: Mia, Cole and Noelle, who were the loves of his life. He’s also survived by sisters: Jenny Dukes (late husband, Buddy), Patty Woods (late husband, Bill) and Sharon Derrickson (Rick); as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Donna Arnold (Frank).
There will be a celebration of Bob’s life at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown, where the family will greet guests from 9:30 a.m., until the time of the celebration of life. A luncheon will be held following the service.
