Paul P. Brady, age 92, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 21, 2024.
The son of the late Leo P. and Sophie (nee Kita), husband of the late Mary M. Brady (nee Czapor), father to the late Paul P. Jr (Sharon), the late Daniel D. and surviving son Stephen S. (Karen). Paul is also survived by his brother James, and sisters Caroline and Mary, his six grandchildren Ashlee, Aimee, Amanda, Paul III, Danielle and Stephen and he is preceded by his brother Benjamin.
Soon after his birth in Philadelphia, Paul moved with his family to Bucks County. After graduation from Central Bucks high school in 1950, Paul served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. After serving the country, Paul married his wife and love of his life Mary in 1956. Paul became a policeman for Doylestown Borough beginning in 1963, working his way from Patrolman to Sergeant to Chief of Police. Paul served as Chief from 1978 until his retirement in 1996. Paul then worked for the County of Bucks for an additional 10 years. Paul volunteered many hours to the Central Bucks Ambulance, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Local Fraternal Order of Police and served as the President of the Bucks County Chiefs of Police in 1988.
An avid outdoorsman, Paul enjoyed hunting and fishing all around the country, Canada, Alaska, and especially enjoyed his trips to Maine turkey hunting.
A private service is planned.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for memorial contributions in Paul's name be made to the charily Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306.
