Matthew W. Kozma of Doylestown, passed away on December 14, 2023 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 62 years old and the loving husband of Ruth E. Kozma.

Born in Glen Cove, New York he was the son of the late William A. and Melinda J. Muller Kozma.

Matt was a graduate of Central Bucks High School West, class of 1980. Beginning in middle school through graduation (1976~1980), he was a member of the wrestling team at CBW.

Following graduation he accomplished the following with the Air Force: Basic Military Training in 1982; NCO Preparatory Course in 1984; Non-commissioned Officer’s Training in 1992 retiring as Senior Master Sergeant with honorable discharge in 2002. He went on to become an Aircraft Structural Maintenance Supervisor – Civilian for the Air Force in 2002, retiring from civil service in 2023.

“Koz,” as he was known to friends, loved music, fishing, barbequing, cooking Korean food and all Philadelphia sports teams. Matthew believed in Jesus Christ. He is a Child of God.

In addition to his wife, Ruth, he is survived by his daughters: Lindsey Gautier and Sarah Kozma Murgatroyd; his grandchildren: Aiden Stroud, Judah Kozma Murgatroyd, Emma Johnson, Ellie Mae Johnson and Raylan Johnson, as well as his brothers: Mark Kozma and David Kozma.

Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Matt’s life at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 13, 2024 at New Britain Baptist Church, 22 East Butler Avenue, New Britain. Interment will follow at 2:15 p.m. in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Matt’s name may be made to: Friends of the Borough Dam, 10 Doyle Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
