Mary Elizabeth Reinhardt passed away on June 29, 2024. She was 84 and the devoted wife of John P. Reinhardt who passed away on November 2, 2014.

Mrs. Reinhardt was a resident of Furlong since 1971. Prior to moving to Bucks County, she and her family resided in Omaha, NE. Mrs. Reinhardt was born in Grand Island, NE, the daughter of the late John E. Hayse and the late Minnie (Nabower) Hayse of Wood River, NE.

Mrs. Reinhardt graduated from Wood River High School in Wood River, NE in 1957 and went to graduate from Nebraska Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1960. She worked in Children’s Hospital in Omaha, NE.

She is survived by her four sons and their spouses: John P., III and Grace Reinhardt, David T. Reinhardt, Thomas H. and Carol Reinhardt and William R. and Nadine Reinhardt, her grandchildren: Logan Reinhardt, Thomas, Jr. and Megan Reinhardt, Dean Reinhardt, Christine and Richard Serafino, great grandchildren: Kassandra Reinhardt, Hayden Reinhardt, Praya Reinhardt, Kegan Reinhardt, Daniel Serafino, Leonard Levitt and Alessia Serafino.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Norma Derr; brother, John Hayse and daughter-in-law, Carol Reinhardt.

Mary was a life member of Midway Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary in Lahaska, PA, where she served as trustee. She was actively involved in the activities of the company. Mary also chaired the fire company Canteen. She was recognized as “Woman of the Year” on three occasions. For many years, she was a Den Leader and Den Leader Coach for Cub Scout Pack 45 in Forest Grove, PA.

Mrs. Reinhardt was a member of Forest Grove Presbyterian Church, where she served as Deacon for many years and was a member of the Senior Choir.

Relative and friends are invited to her funeral service 11 a.m., Saturday, July 6, 2024, Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown, where the family will greet guests from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Forest Grove Cemetery.
