Margaret C. Gyuricsko

d. November 21, 2019

I died at Neshaminy Manor, Warrington from many ailments on Thursday, November 21, 2019. I was surrounded by my loving family as I entered heaven to meet my Lord.

I was born in Trenton, NJ to Thomas and Margaret Pursell on February 19, 1943. My father was serving in World War II and received a telegram of my birth.

After graduation from Pennsbury High School, I took a job with McGraw Hill Publishers in Manhattan New York, as an Executive Secretary. I enjoyed the energy and excitement the city gave. I became a homemaker after the birth of my first child for most of my married life. I returned to work after my children were in school and retired from Hanover Foods as an Executive Secretary.

I enjoyed being a homeroom mother at my children’s school and I was Treasurer at my church for many years. Many summers you could find me cheering Peg, Patti, and Joe on the softball or baseball fields or fishing on our boat. Decorating for the holidays was my favorite time of year. I loved creating a beautiful home and cooking for my family. If not knitting, reading, listening to music or painting, I could be found outside tending to my flower gardens. Since I did not like to fly, my vacations were to my beloved New Jersey shore especially Long Beach Island and Ocean City. I could be found with my feet in the sand, warmth of the sun on my face and windswept hair.

I enjoyed my life and there are many people that meant the world to me. My husband, Joe, that married me in 1961. He was taken from me suddenly on December 7, 1997; we are now reunited. I found love and companionship from Donald Wiley in 1998; thank you for caring for me the past years. We enjoyed decorating our Florida home, art shows and antiquing. My three beautiful children, Peg Simek of Souderton and her husband, Doug. Patti Diehl of Warminster and her husband, Mike; and Joe Jr of New Port Richey, FL and his wife, Tiffany. I am forever in your hearts. My grandchildren are the greatest gifts given to me. I will forever watchover you Julie Gerretz, Melissa Hoff, Christopher Hoff, Madelyn Gyuricsko, Joseph Gyuricsko III and bonus grandchildren Alicia and Alexis Diehl. Seeing you laugh and enjoy our times together were images I never forgot. Be kind in this world to others.

Surviving is my sister, Nancy (Robert) Steiner, my niece Kristine Anthony and my nephew Tom. My aunt Gladys Halstead who was like a second mother to me, my uncle, George (Marianne) Greenwood, my Pursell Family aunts and uncles, and many cousins.
I was a given the gift of life in 2008 of a kidney by an unknown donor. I am eternally grateful to his family; their compassion allowed me an additional 11 years with my family.

I would like to express sincere gratitude to the wonderful and caring C2 staff at Neshaminy Manor that took care of me; Jeanine, Kathie, Andy, Larry, Julie, Judy and Taylor, you were my angels on Earth and became part of my family. My Doylestown Hospice Nurse, Anne Richter, you helped ease my fears and comforted me during my last days. My nephrologists Dr. Deirdre Sawinski of Hospital of University of Pennsylvania, words cannot express the love and respect I have for you; Dr. Victor Ghantous of Willow Grove, your compassion and care of me was wonderful.

I tried to live my life was a living example of one of my favorite Bible verses, Ephesians 4:32 – “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

Because our pets give us unconditional love and enrich our lives, I would be honored to have donations made to The Last Chance Ranch 9 Beck Rd, Quakertown, PA 18951. My wish is that every animal receives a forever home filled with love.
I leave all of you for now but we will be together once again. I have my loved ones, pets and my faithful Yorkie, Winston with me for now.

I’ve had a wonderful life and thank you to all that made it so.

Love, Margie
