Margaret Ann Schweinfurth passed away at home November 14, 2023. She was 98 years old.
Born in Southampton to the late Horace and Loretta Sauerman, she had two brothers, Earl and Don and an older sister, Irene.
She graduated from Southampton High School in 1942 and in 1943 married her high school sweetheart, William Schweinfurth of Hatboro. They were married for sixty years until his death in 2003. From this union came four children, Bill, Irene, Jeff and Jerry, along with nine grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Ann belonged to three church’s which included Pleasantville United Church of Christ, Dotterer Memorial Baptist where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. After moving to Franconia, she became a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Even with raising four children, Ann worked many part-time jobs to supplement the family income. When the children were grown she was a bookkeeper full and part-time until 1989.
Ann loved to travel which included a trip across the United States and Alaska, the Middle East, Europe, the Holy Land, Hawaii and Disney. There were over twenty years of annual family trips to the Outer Banks.
Her hobbies included bowling, reading, baking, puzzles and needlepoint. Many intricate framed counted cross stitch masterpieces hang in her home and those of her family. Ann was an avid Phillies baseball fan. For years she had an official score book and kept track of every detail of every game.
To honor her life, relatives and friends are invited to her memorial service at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 13 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 107 Wes Lincoln Avenue, Telford, Pennsylvania.
