Margaret B. Putnick of Doylestown, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, September 1. She was 89 years old and the wife of the late Frank Putnick.
Born in Plymouth, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of Daniel Bistrichan and Angela Suscavage Bistrichan.
Margaret received her RN degree in 1955 from Women’s Medical College, Philadelphia. She practiced nursing for 50 years, beginning in the operating room, her “glory days,” and ending with geriatric nursing.
Margaret was a lifelong, devout Catholic and a 42-year member of the Living Word Secular Franciscan Fraternity. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy.
She is survived by three children: Mary Friel (John), Melanie DiLullo (Tom), and Frank Putnick, Jr. (Kathy); seven grandchildren: Joseph (Ann), Christopher (Aleks), Madeline (Isaac), Adele, Elizabeth, Daniel, and Molly; three great-grandchildren: Eloise, Josephine, and Warren; her sister, Monica Bistrichan, her sisters-in-law Michalene Bistrichan, Joan Putnick and Maryellen Gornick and brother-in-law, Len Putnick; several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary and brother Daniel.
Her funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 12 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown, where friends may call from 9:30 until 10:15. Interment will follow Mass in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
Additionally a memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m, Saturday, October 12 at St. Paul’s Church, 301 South Liberty Street, Centreville, Maryland.
