Lynne Marie Pantuso of Dublin, passed away peacefully at her home on June 15, 2022. She was the loving daughter of the late Dr. Raymond J. Pantuso and Mrs. Ann Pantuso (nee Culyba) of Doylestown.
Lynne attended Central Bucks West High School and was the first graduating class of Central Bucks East in 1970 in Holicong. During her high school years, she worked at The Bar-M, Grants and The Arctic Supermarket in Doylestown.
She earned her BS in education from Temple University, teaching K-6th graders in the Pennridge and Quakertown Schools after graduation. Later, Lynne attended Bucks County Community College where she received her Associate of Science degree in Nursing with certification as an RN. She was a trauma nurse for Abington Memorial Hospital for many years and provided exceptional care always with a warm smile and encouragement for healing. Lynne also studied holistic nursing. A lifelong learner, Lynne took classes at The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC and got an AA from The American Institute of Drafting, Philadelphia, PA in Architectural Design. Her skills in drafting led her to a position at the Bucks County Planning Commission.
Lynne was also an artist and an entrepreneur. She designed jewelry and had a store on Etsy called “A Rainy Day Flea Market.” Her work was also sold in retail stores locally and in Santa Fe, NM. Creativity ran deep and wide within her, always having a clever idea for something fresh and new.
Lynne will always be remembered as a bright light! She was funny and always had a smile, a kind word and gave anyone the benefit of the doubt. Lynne was beyond generous, never forgetting a birthday, anniversary or any other important date. Lynne celebrated people. She loved Jesus, Mother Mary and Saint Padre Pio. She prayed for anyone who needed it or even if they didn’t. Isn’t that special?
Lynne loved her two cats who were great companions. She followed the Phillies, the Eagles and the Steelers (her parents were from Pittsburgh, PA). Lynnie loved to read, was a great cook and loved to bake as well (she shared this with everyone). Sunday dinner with family was important to her. She loved to picnic and trips to the beach as well. Travel filled her soul! She often would take the time to stop and talk to a stranger who might be in need of a friendly voice. She was just plain kind to ALL those who crossed her path. Lynne will be sorely missed by so many friends and family.
Lynne loved her friends and family so much and is survived by; her brother, Alan C. Pantuso (Patti, was preceded), brother, Mike Pantuso (Evelyn), sister, Annamarie Pantuso-Plenzick (Herman), her two nieces, Jessica Merlo (Matthew) and Cassandra Pantuso, both who she simply adored. She is also survived by her cousins; Terry (Andrew), Tom (Lee), Elaine (Robert), Chuck (Pat), Maryann (Gary, Sr.), Basil (Kaye), Shirley (Nancy), Johnny, Tommy (Sue), and many, many friends. Lynne’s cats, Smarty Jones and Happy, while missing Lynne, have found another loving home.
In lieu of flowers please plant a tree in her memory or do a random act of kindness. We know that Lynne would love that because that is how she lived her life.
Her funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2022 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown, where the family will greet guests from 9:30 until10:15 a.m. Interment will follow Mass in Saint John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
