Lucia Zenaida DeJesus of Doylestown passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 30 at home with family. She was 82.
Born in Quito, Ecuador, she was the daughter of the late Jose Salvador and Rosa Maria Muńoz.
While living in Doylestown, Lucia worked at Doylestown Hospital as a maternity aide. She then worked for Thomas & Betz for more than twenty years before going to work at Bon Ton and then Target. After retiring, Lucia was able to enjoy her time with her grandchildren, church, gardening, flea markets and making empanadas for family and friends.
Lucia was a loving, caring, faithful and generous mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend to many.
Lucia is survived by her children: Anita and Doug Landis of Quakertown, Peter and Anne DeJesus of Perkasie, Rosa Christiansen of Chalfont and Lola and Philip Weiss of Chalfont; seven grandchildren, Casandra and Nick Mann of Quakertown, Jonathon and Sarah Landis of Coopersburg, Sarah and Jeremy Xander of Belgium, Justin, Ashley and Jason Christiansen of Chalfont and Sabrina Weiss of Chalfont, three great-grandchildren: Nora and Halle Landis and Eva Mann, as well as her sister, Ligia Muńoz and her brother, Renee Muńoz, both of Ecuador.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service at 11 a.m., Monday, October 9 at Doylestown Mennonite Church, 590 North Broad Street, Doylestown, where the family will greet guests from 10 a.m., until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Doylestown Mennonite Cemetery.
