Lorraine Kastle of Wagener, SC, formerly of Doylestown passed away on
Wednesday, October 18, 2017. She was 94 and the wife of the late Dale E.
Kastle, who passed in 1974.
Born in Doylestown, she was the daughter of the late J. Elwyn and Mabel
Allshouse Fretz.
Lorraine graduated from Buckingham High School, class of 1941. She
spent many years coloring photographs for Doylestown photographer, Charles
Maddox. Later Lorraine became interested in ceramics, opening her own
studio, Peace Valley Ceramics in New Britain. She eventually went back to
work, ultimately retiring from Penn Engineering in Danboro.
Ms. Kastle is survived by her three daughters: Linda L. Taylor of
Davenport, FL; Kerry L. Kastle of Harleysville and Dale E. Kastle, her
husband, Ray, of Wagener, SC; her six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren
and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving is her brother, Dale Fretz,
his wife Francis, of Holly Ridge, NC. She was predeceased by her brother:
John E. Fretz.
Services and interment will be private.
