Lola Jean (Tanner) Fuller, 96, passed away on Thursday, January 30, at Wesley Enhanced Living in Doylestown. She was the loving wife of William “Bill” Fuller. They recently celebrated their 76th wedding anniversary on December 26. Bill’s care and devotion to his “bride” during their 13+ years at Wesley was a shining example of the selfless love that they had for each other.
Born in Watsontown, PA, Lola graduated from Watsontown High School in 1946. She married her high school sweetheart in 1948, then raised her son and daughter as she worked part-time for 25 years at Catherman’s Homemade Candy in Lewisburg. She was a long-time active member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Lewisburg.
Lola is survived by her husband, Bill, her daughter and son-in-law Ann and Scott Teschner, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Steve, in 1995.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
