Linda B. Smith of Churchville died on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. She was 84 years old.
Born in Bay City, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert V. Blanquart and Julia R. Blanquart. Linda grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Linda attended Mount Lebanon High School, where she met her beloved husband of 61 years, Donald C. Smith. She attended Skidmore College, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in business. While at Skidmore, Linda met some of her lifelong friends whom she called "The Skiddies." Their annual reunions were some of her favorite adventures. Upon graduation, Linda and Don married and started their family, eventually settling in their dream home in Churchville. Linda was the best homemaker, wife, and mother. She loved to gather friends and neighbors, planning and hosting annual summer pool parties and Christmas caroling. In 1985, Linda was hired at Tri-County Inspections. She typed the inspection reports and became the office "Mom". She adored her Tri-County family. Linda's life work was caregiver, taking care of her parents and in-laws; she believed that she should have been a nurse. Linda's favorite pastimes include reading, baking, knitting, sewing, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed her winters with Don when they were snowbirds, traveling to Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.
