Karen Canini Fumento of Doylestown passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 5, 2022. She was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband, Robert F. Fumento.
Born in Port Chester, New York in 1946, Karen was the daughter of the late Joseph and June Canini. She has a younger brother Joseph. She graduated from Maria Regina High School in Hartsdale, New York, and Peter Bent Brigham School of Nursing in Boston.
She worked as a Registered Nurse for over 35 years, providing compassion and expertise to countless patients. Karen truly was a difference maker and was an amazing source of strength and laughter for her family and lifelong friends.
Karen is survived by her daughter, Kristen Newman, her husband, Sean; her son, Dr. Robert S. Fumento, his wife, Tamar; as well as her grandchildren, who she absolutely adored: Caroline, Grace and Claire Newman and Nicholas, Alexander and Stefen Fumento.
Friends and relatives are invited to her funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 18 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown where the family will receive guests from 9:30 until 10:15 a.m.. Interment will follow Mass in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hilltown.
