Joyce G. Weed of Doylestown, formerly of Yardley died on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at her daughter’s home. She was 79 and the wife of the late Henry Weed who passed away in 2006.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen Monteith Gardner.
Joyce attended Pierce School of Business, but ultimately stayed home to raise her family. She was a talented artist and an animal lover, often taking in stray wildlife and adopting many homeless dogs.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Harrison, her husband, Brett Harrison, M.D., of Doylestown and her son, Scott Weed, his wife, Meaghan of Ewing, NJ and her grandchildren: Grant and Reid Harrison and Samantha, Dale and Brandon Weed, as well as two brothers-in-law and their wives, several nieces and nephews and family in Scotland.
