B. Jill Vogt, of Haycock, died on July 9, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She was 71 years old.
Born in Doylestown, she was the daughter of the late Richard K Moyer and Dorothy S Lear Moyer.
Jill graduated from Central Bucks High School and received an Associates Degree from Kutztown University. She held a variety of jobs, including during high school waitressing at W.T. Grant’s department store in the Doylestown shopping center.
While married to her former husband, Dennis, she lived in Highlands, New Jersey and worked as a substitute teacher. When they moved to Groton, Connecticut, she again waitressed to help support the family. They eventually moved back to Doylestown where she spent many years as a title searcher at the Court House before joining the family business, Paul B. Moyer & Sons, Inc., retiring in 2015.
Jill had many loves; first and foremost, her family, especially her many nieces and nephews (and great nieces and nephews), followed by the Philadelphia Flyers, traveling and Longaberger baskets. She enjoyed summers at Avalon, New Jersey and Greentown, Pennsylvania, almost always accompanied by one or more of her nieces and/or nephews.
She is survived by her siblings: Judith M. Hale, of Doylestown, Richard E. Moyer (Susie), of Lansdale, Charles R. Moyer (Irmgard), of Warminster, Deborah M. Watson (Bill), of Horsham, Kimberlee S. Moyer, of Doylestown, and her sister from another mother, Janet McNally (Ned), of Perkasie; her aunt: Patricia Brinker, of Riverside, California and her uncle and aunt, Walt and Helen Stever, of Telford; her nieces and nephews: Mike, Shawn, Maggie, Will, Eric, Jake, Ian, Erin, Kari Ann, Laura, Kari Violet, Haley and Graeme; her great nieces and nephews: Cooper, Bailey, Taylor, Shannon, Casey, Gracyn, Alyssa, Olivia, Haley, Liam, Sylas, and Dalton, as well as many, many much loved cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown, where the family will greet guests from may 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Keller’s Church Cemetery, Perkasie.
