Jane Ann Dusek, resident of Solebury for the last 43 years, passed away suddenly on the morning of November 7, 2016. She was 77 years old and the wife for 54 years of Robert N. Dusek.
Jane was born in Middletown Ohio, the daughter of the late Louanna and Elwood Richardson.
Jane and Bob met at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where Jane graduated with a BA in English Writing and Language. She translated the ancient Greek old testament of the Bible and was capable in translating Italian and French.
Jane enjoyed a lifetime of artistic creations, being an abstract expressionism painter and sculptor and she was an active quilter, spending many years with the Carversville Church Quilting Group. She was an avid reader and her library contained thousands of volumes of books, articles and texts, including numerous culinary works. Her incredible abilities as a world class gourmet cook resulted in high praise from the many guests who dined at her home, Aerequus Farm. Jane was a lifetime partner with Bob in numerous real estate partnerships and worked for more than 35 years as corporate treasurer for her husband’s consulting business, Direction Associates, Inc. She was also active with her husband participating as both a competitor and a crew member in vintage and historic racing events in Europe and at race tracks throughout the U.S.
In addition to her husband, Bob, she is survived by her son: Robert Dusek, II and her grandson, Robert Dusek, III. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Richardson.
In accordance with Jane’s wishes, funeral services will be private, as she had asked to be remembered as a vibrant, living individual.
