Helena Maria Ponce de Leon, age 89, a resident of Doylestown, PA died on June 28, 2024. She was the beloved wife for 55 years of Gonzalo Marcos Ponce de Leon.
Born in Madrid, Spain, Helena was the daughter of the late Alejandro Pidal Marques de Valderrey and the late Elena Maria Corral Marques de Valderrey.
In addition to being a devoted wife, mother, homemaker and grandmother, she was a caregiver to children. She was a devout catholic and a former member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She loved flowers and all things colored lavender and mauve.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving children and their spouses: Ximena and Enzo Agnone of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Macarena and Erik Robertello of Bluffton, SC and Santiago and Christina Ponce de Leon, Sicklerville, NJ; her grandchildren: Nikolas Alexander, Sarah Elizabeth, Isabella Maria, Erik Joseph and Fiona Jade; her sister and her spouse, Ines Pidal and Cesar Durañona and by her sisters-in-law: Cora Pidal and Clara Pidal.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Alejandro Pidal, Santiago Pidal and Juan Pidal and by her sister-in-law, Marta Pidal.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 11, 2024, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church, 5194 Cold Spring Creamery Road, Doylestown, where relatives and friends will be received from10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will follow Mass in Doylestown Cemetery.
