Grazia “Grace” Vinci Cantarella, 95, of Doylestown, PA, passed away on March 31, 2024. She was born Grazia Vinci in Messina, Sicily, Italy.
Grace was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was known for her love of sewing, knitting and always incorporating lace into her creations. Grace was always true to her name, she was very dignified and elegant. She was deeply religious and was especially inspired by Padre Pio.
Grace arrived in the United States in 1951 via the Vulcania Italian Line Fleet and made Doylestown her home. She worked at Mohawk in Doylestown for 30 years, retiring at the age of 52. She was dedicated to her career, assembling electric parts for the international company and assisting in translating orders and communication between the U.S. corporate office and Italy.
In her free time, Grace cherished moments spent with her family, especially her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jane McIntyre and her husband Vince Capone, her grandchildren: Robin Hoffman and her husband David, Rachael McIntyre, Bob McIntyre and his wife Emily, as well as her great-grandchildren: Olivia, Milo, Stella, Adelaide, and Victoria. Grace also leaves behind nieces and nephews in the Vinci family in the United States and extended nieces and nephews throughout Sicily and Italy.
Grace is preceded in death by her husband, Rosario Cantarella, her brother, Nicholas Vinci and his wife, Angelina Vinci.
Friends and relatives are invited to her funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown, where the family will greet guests from 9:30 until 10:15 a.m. Interment will follow in National Shrine Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, may she rest in peace.
