Glenn O. Woodford of Fountainville, Pennsylvania, passed away on December 7, 2023 at Chestnut Hill Hospital. He was 77 years of age and the husband for forty-six years of the late Diane Gribbin Woodford.
Born in Abington, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Okey and Jule Woodford.
Glenn was a graduate of Cheltenham High School; after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served as Machinist Mate from 1969 until 1971. Upon discharge from the Navy, he became a merchant marine and was able to sail all over the world until his retirement in 2020.
He was a diehard Eagles and Phillies fan; his favorite Eagles player was Randall Cunningham and favorite Phillies player was Chase Utley (his grand-dog’s namesake)
He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Woodford, his sister, Patti (Anthony) Pizzo, his niece, Jennifer (Scott) Kalbach and his great-nephews: Lance and Nicholas Kalbach.
Family and friends are invited to attend his graveside service at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 21 in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, Pennsylvania (attendees must arrive at the cemetery no later than 9:45 a.m.)
