Fredrick D. Yodis

d. September 23, 2020

Fredrick David Yodis, 78, of Jamison, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. He had suffered bravely for many years with Parkinson’s Disease.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Anthony and Catharine Yodis and the brother of Paul Yodis and the late Donald Yodis.

Fred graduated from Upper Moreland High School in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. He was married to his faithful wife, Ginger (Harris) Yodis, for 48 years.

Fred was known for his charming personality, twinkling blue eyes, athleticism, love for gardening, the outdoors, and maintaining his four acre property in Buckingham, Pennsylvania. He often displayed generosity towards friends in need. Fred formed many lasting relationships through Christian 9 softball and then enjoyed coaching various sports teams and watching his own son play college baseball. As a young person, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force before working for Oppenheimer and Vandor and then venturing into entrepreneurship with Traders Inc. and Advanced Energy Products.

Most importantly, Fred was a follower of Jesus Christ. His favorite Bible verse was “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9.

He is survived by his wife, Ginger, his children: Jennifer Yodis Morrisett (Samuel Morrisett), Peter Yodis (Leslie Ikoniak Yodis) and Kristi Yodis, as well as his grandchildren: Mellissa Morrisett, Micah Morrisett, Susannah Morrisett, Grace Yodis, Mark Yodis and Joel Yodis.
