Francis Patrick Leahy, of Perkasie, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018. He was 83.
The oldest of two sons born to John and Anna (Mooney) Leahy, in Philadelphia, Frank attended Lincoln High School, where he played football. He served in the United States Army Reserves National Guard. Beginning in 1962, Mr. Leahy owned and operated a successful sanitation business in Northeast Philadelphia. He enjoyed farming and tending to livestock on his farm in Trumbauersville, PA.
Remembered as a kind and honest man, Frank is survived by his four children: Karen Thompson (Dave Thompson), Denise Gormley (Charles Gormley), Cheryl Rice (John Rice), and Frank Leahy (Tiffany Browning-Leahy), along with nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Frank was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Leahy.
His memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 22, 2018 at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown.
