Ethel B. Kohl, a lifelong resident of Doylestown passed away with family by her side on Saturday, February 23, 2019. She was 96 and the wife for 54 years of the late R. Joseph Kohl, who passed away in 2004.
She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Lavanda Stilwagon Brown.
Ethel was a graduate of Doylestown High School, Class of 1941.
She was a hairdresser, later retiring from Central Bucks School District as a bus driver. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, knitting, baking including cake decorating and playing Pinocle. As an avid bowler, Ethel kept herself young at heart by knocking down pins and walking many miles a day with friends.
She will be remembered for her quick wit, infectious smile and love for her family
She is survived by her children: Lynn K. Burkart of Silver Spring, MD; Judith K. Leidy of Doylestown and Duane J. Kohl of Jamison. She was the beloved MomMom of granddaughters: Dustyn M. Burkart of College Park, MD; Brandi L. Burkart of Silver Spring, MD and Kristin Boger, her husband, Paul, of Doylestown and great-granddaughters: Clara and Kelsi of Silver Spring, MD She is also survived several nieces and nephews.
Services and interment were private.
