Liz was the consummate volunteer. Her organizational skills and unflagging enthusiasm enriched many local community groups. She was a Girl Scout leader, Neighborhood Chairman, Cookie Chairman and Freedom Valley Council member. Her roles at Marple Presbyterian Church in Broomall, PA and Lenape Valley Church in New Britain PA were myriad. She was a choir member for over 45 years, session member and Elder, and Director of the “infamous” Christmas Pageant of the Nativity for more than 30 years. Liz was a member of the VIA Board for Doylestown Hospital and many times chair of the Designer House, as well as a Unit volunteer, and eventually a pre-school teacher at Doylestown Hospital Children’s Village. Her love of crafts and sewing led to a burgeoning business of American Girl Doll clothes and quilting. In her “spare time” she enjoyed swimming and diving as a participant and teacher. Liz loved her bridge groups and those lifelong friends.
Liz adored her sports teams and rooted proudly and loudly for the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies and Penn State. She was loved and will be missed by many.
A celebration of Liz’s life will be 1 p.m., Thursday, November 3 at Lenape Valley Church, 321 West Butler Avenue, New Britain, PA 18901 where the family will greet guests from 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
