Edward W. McCann Sr. of Doylestown passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 77 and the husband of Judy B. McCann.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Martin McCann and Vera Horn Davidson.
Edward was a retired Philadelphia Police Officer, retired private detective and retired investigator for the Public Defender’s Office for the County of Bucks.
He enjoyed boating, fishing, going to the casino and loved being with his cats.
In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by his children: Edward W. McCann Jr., his wife, Janeen; Kathleen Gershman, her husband, Larry; John McCann, his wife, Marylou; Stephanie Heim, her husband, Frank Good; Tracey Sulinski, her husband, Paul and Matthew Gorman, his wife, Evelyn. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, as well as his siblings; Eugene McCann, his wife Shirley and William McCann, his wife Shirley.
Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home Inc., 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown, where the family will receive guests from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
