Dorothea Buckner

Dorothea Buckner (nee Maloney) of Doylestown passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on March 10, 2025.

Dorothea was born on March 13, 1932 in Philadelphia and grew up in Doylestown, where she lived the rest of her life. She was an avid sports fan and a supporter of all Philadelphia sports teams. She also loved to cook. She had various jobs over her lifetime, the last being fourteen years at the Doylestown Hospital.

Dorothea is survived by her three sons: Dennis Buckner and his partner, Donna Rapoport; Thomas Monroe (Monty) Buckner Jr. and his husband, Barry Mark Dinerman and Brent Buckner and his wife, Diane Janick-Buckner; five grandchildren: Kylie Buckner and her husband, Cyrus Khambatta; Jillian Buckner and her husband, Ben Walker; Vanessa Buckner-Meziere and her husband, Doug Meziere; Julie Buckner and her partner, Michael Anthony Trunk; and Tristian Buckner, as well as three great-grandchildren, Archer Meziere, Mason Meziere and Indigo Khambatta. She is also survived by her two daughters-in-law, Marian Buckner and Nancy Buckner. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Thomas Monroe Buckner and her son, Bradley Buckner. 

A private service and interment will be held at a future date.
