Doris J. Posavec, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother of Palm Harbor, FL, died Wednesday, November 23, 2016. She was 90 and the wife of the late Walter A. Posavec who passed in 1994.
Born in Lahaska, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Koehl Yonker.
Doris spent a majority of her life having lived in Furlong, Bushkill and Doylestown, PA before moving to Florida in 2014.
Doris was a graduate of Buckingham High School. She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Salem United Church of Christ in Doylestown. She was an avid Phillies fan and also enjoyed baking.
Surviving are her children: W. Peter Posavec (Sharon) of Warrington, PA; Susan Powell (Bill) of Dingmans Ferry, PA and Robert Posavec (Marlana) of Palm Harbor, FL. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Billy Powell, Drew Posavec, Jared Posavec and Alyssa Posavec, as well as her brother, Harold Yonker, of New Britain, PA. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Yonker.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service 11 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown, where the family will receive guests from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville.
