Dennis E. D’Angelo of Chalfont passed away peacefully on July 1st. Dennis was 77 and the loving husband for 52 years of Mary “Bunny” D’Angelo, who passed away in July 2018.
Born in Passaic, NJ, he was the son of Frank and Ellenmay Hoar D’Angelo.
After graduating from Xavier High School in Manhattan, Dennis continued on to work as an executive in information technology systems for Prudential in both Newark, NJ and Horsham, PA for 33 years.
Dennis had a memorable propensity of making everyone who met him smile and laugh. To many, he was the “King”. At a young age, Dennis loved playing tennis and even played softball for the “Pigs” at Prudential. He was an avid boxing and Yankee’s fan who loved watching the games with his wife and the rest of the family. He deeply enjoyed playing piano and continued his love for music through acquiring an extensive collection of records and CD’s, even building a music room filled with instruments and musical accents. In-line with his jokester persona, he routinely watched Saturday Night Live, especially the classic holiday specials. He was a natural trickster with everyone from family to friends.
Dennis is survived by his daughter, Michele E. Light, her husband, David Light, his son, James “Thunder” D’Angelo, his wife, Dawn D’Angelo; his grandchildren: Ian and Jaclyn Ross and Nicky D’Angelo, as well as his nephew, Brett DeCarlo, his wife Lisa, his niece, Stacey DeCarlo, and their children: Ava, Luke, Andrew and Domini. He was preceded in death by his sister, Donna DeCarlo.
Services and interment will be private.
