Christopher Michael Hill of Doylestown, passed away on May 29, 2017 at his home. He was a gift to us for 32 years.
Born and raised in Doylestown, he grew up to be a quiet presence in an extended family of 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
Chris generously accepted the imperfections in all of us and was kind enough to never shine a light on them. In fact, he always encouraged us to find within ourselves those gifts that make each of us special. He loved family gatherings and celebrations and was the author of the big welcoming hug when he greeted you—even if it hadn’t been so long.
After graduating CB West in 2003 he attended BCCC and remained in his hometown. He worked in the family business and stayed extremely close to his childhood friends for life.
He possessed an amazing gift for words and laughter and loved long, engaging conversations.
Just when he was hitting his stride his body received an unwelcome fate. Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy slowly weakened this high school athlete’s body every year. His appearance changed over time but he was still our beloved son, brother, uncle and trusted friend. He still smiled, he still loved and he still hugged us every time. As Chris would have told you, there are no bad days.
Those who cared for him and those of us who will forever love him have been gifted by the mystery and extraordinary beauty of the simple human heart.
Christopher is survived by his parents, Susan Hellyer Pajer (David) and Charles D. Hill, Jr. (Bonnie); his brothers: Charles D. Hill, III (Marisa); Cutler Hill (Kristina); Connor Pajer; Greg Hill and Max Hill and his sisters: Kelly Burke and Lauren Burke, as well as his nephews: Chase Hill and Cutler Thomas Hill.
Relatives and friends are invited to Chris’s funeral service at 8:15 p.m., Friday, June 2 at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown, where the family will receive guests from 6:30 p.m., until the time of the service.
Interment will be private.
