Christine Pelle Klein, a longtime resident of Warrington, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 76 years of age after an extended battle with cancer.
Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Tibor and Hanna Weishut Pelle.
Chris was a graduate of Central Bucks High School, class of 1965 and Penn State University, class of 1969. She was employed as a Social Worker for Montgomery County Children and Youth before having children and staying home to raise them. Volunteer work was a passion of her’s as she served on many parent councils and elsewhere in her children’s schools, even continuing on as an elementary school library volunteer long after her kids were grown. She also chaired the Bucks County Youth Aide Panel for many years and was actively involved in both the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County and the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund organizations.
In later years, Chris worked as a “senior move manager,” providing guidance and companionship to those downsizing their homes. Her lifetime of service in different capacities left many with great appreciation and fond memories of her. She loved to be outside, especially at the beach, traveling, sewing, gardening, and watching her grandchildren do the things they love.
Chris was a loving and devoted wife and mother, but her favorite role was as “Grammy.” She is survived by husband, Robert Klein, son, Jeff Klein (Michelle) of Warrington, daughter, Pam Spicciati (Art) of Fort Collins, CO, as well as her beloved grandchildren: Kyle, Mia and Alyssa Klein, and Adrian and Quinlan Spicciati.
Relatives and friends are invited to her memorial service at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 3 at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown, where the family will greet guests from 10 a.m., until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
