Charles “Chip” Brower, born on August 4, 1943, in Easton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025, at Doylestown Hospital. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, he leaves behind a legacy filled with love, kindness, and cherished memories.
Chip graduated from Easton High School in 1961 and furthered his education by obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1965. He was a member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity. After completing his education, he proudly served in the United States Navy, entering Officer Candidate School in 1966. He dedicated five years of his life to the Navy, notably serving as a flight instructor at Pensacola from 1967 until 1971. His military service demonstrated his commitment to duty and excellence, qualities that carried over into every aspect of his life.
Upon completion of his military service, Chip worked as a marketing executive for Amerihealth Administrators, where he used his skills to positively impact the organization until his retirement.
Chip was known for his unwavering patience and kind demeanor, earning him the deep affection of all who knew him. His personality shone brightly in all of his pursuits and interactions with family and friends. He had a passion for golf and motorcycles, which many of his loved ones fondly recall. Chip found joy in the waters of Beach Haven, LBI, where countless family memories were created.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Herb Brower; his son, Charles Arthur III “Chad” Brower, and daughter-in-law, Kateryna; his daughter, Lauren Ashley Hopkins, and future son-in-law, Gregory Donofrio. Chip was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Riley and Reese Hopkins, Chase and Maya Brower, and Lillian and Elliana Donofrio, who brought him much joy throughout his life. He is also survived by in-laws Andrea and Rik Bourne, Julie and David Eckrote, and Diane and Don Rutherford.
Chip’s family also includes his sister, Susan Brower Skinner, and brother-in-law, Patrick Skinner, along with close cousins Bonnie and Gary Bird, and John and Anne Stevens.
Though Chip has departed from this world, his loving spirit and the wonderful memories shared with family and friends will forever remain in their hearts. He will be greatly missed, but his legacy of kindness and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
