Brittany Lynn Kane, known affectionately as “Britty,” tragically passed away in a car accident on September 11, 2023, at the age of 36 in Bucks County, PA.
She was born at Lankenau Hospital to her loving parents, Joseph Kane, Jr. and Linda Lee.
Britty was a bright and compassionate soul who touched the lives of everyone around her. She had an infectious smile that could brighten the darkest of days, and her boundless kindness knew no limits.
She pursued her passion for helping others by earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Health Professions and Related Clinical Sciences from Drexel University’s College of Nursing and Health Professions. Britty was dedicated to her field and always went the extra mile to provide care and comfort to those in need.
In her free time, Britty found solace and joy in the outdoors. She had a deep love for kayaking, sailing, scuba diving, and surfing, which allowed her to connect with nature in a profound way. Whether gliding along calm waters or riding the waves of the ocean, she found peace and exhilaration in these activities.
An avid traveler, Britty embarked on many adventures including backpacking around Europe, getting her scuba certifications in the Bahamas, and roadtripping through her favorite place in the world, the American southwest.
Britty is survived by her parents, Joseph and Linda, her younger brother, Davis, her grandparents, Joan and Bob, and her many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Her untimely passing leaves a void in the hearts of her family and friends that can never be filled.
Relatives and friends are invited to her memorial Mass at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 21 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown where the family will greet guests from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Brain Trauma Foundation ( https://www.thebrf.org/donate /), in honor of Britty’s commitment to furthering research on this important cause.
Britty’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will continue to shine brightly.
