Brian James Young, of Philadelphia, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021 after a short but courageous battle with neuroendocrine cancer at the young age of 38.
Born in Doylestown, he was the beloved son of James and Virginia Young. In 2003 he met Joseph Rose whom he enjoyed eighteen loving years with and later married.
Brian spent his career at Johnson & Johnson in multiple roles, where he touched many lives. He was loved by all who were lucky enough to know him. Outside of work, Brian had a zest for life, spending time with those he loved, which included many trips with Joey to his favorite places in the Catskill Mountains of New York State.
In addition to his parents and husband, Brian is also survived by his brother: Daniel, his wife, Shauna; nephew, Zach; niece, Lily and, of course, his beloved fur babies, Mr. Nelson and Mija.
Brian will forever be remembered for his warmth, unsurpassed kindness, and humor. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of Brian’s life and love will be planned at a future date for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Brian’s name may be made to: Catskill Animal Sanctuary, 316 Old Stage Rd, Saugerties, NY 12477 (a non-profit organization for animals in need).
