Arnold G. Menge, Jr.

d. January 20, 2023

Arnold G. Menge, Jr., of Warrington, Pennsylvania, entered fully into the presence of the Lord on Friday, January, 20, 2023. He was 91 years old.

He was predeceased by his parents, Arnold and Florence Menge and three older sisters, Florence Heinzerorth (Robert), Jane Herrmann (Bill), and Ruth Foster (John), as well as his son, Arnold G. Menge III and grandson, Derek Stevenson.

Arnold married June A. Betz, in 1952. He graduated from Temple University in 1954 with a degree in business. Their children are Arnold G. III (Linda) and Terri L. Stevenson (Thomas). He was blessed with five grandsons: Derek Stevenson, Troy Stevenson, Matthew Stevenson (Lisa), Geoff Menge (Sara) and Tyler Menge and nine great-grandchildren: Haley, Chase, Ella, Taylor, Kaden, Kirra, Sloane, Shea and Madelyn, as well as Joshua and Natalie Richey. He was deeply loved by these and many other extended family and friends.

Arnold was born in Kensington, Philadelphia. He and June moved to New Britain in 1963, where he worked as a manufacturing representative, starting and running his own company, Menge Associates. He was very active in his faith, serving as an elder and teaching Sunday School at New Britain Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Doylestown.

In the 1970s, he and his good friend, Joe Soder, organized the very first outdoor soccer program, “CenBuco,” in Bucks County for boys up to the age of eleven at New Britain Park. He also volunteered at the New Britain PTA Council, New Britain Police Department and served as a chaplain at Doylestown Hospital for over fifteen years. He could very often be found cheering on and supporting his grandsons and grandchildren at their soccer games and other sporting events. His faith in God and love for his family were foremost in all things.

It was very important to Arnold that everyone know of God’s love for them. John 11:25-26 says, “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
