Ardath Leona Dale Zoppel of Furlong died on Tuesday night, July 5. She was 84 and the beloved wife for nearly 60 years of Louis V. Zoppel.
Born in Haddonfield, NJ she was the daughter of the late G. Barton and Gladys Lyons Dale.
Ardath’s education included Honors Graduate from Haddonfield High School, Denison University, Bachelor of Science program, Granville, Ohio and was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority. She trained as a histology technician at West Jersey Hospital and was employed as the supervisor in the histology department at Thomas Jefferson Hospital / Medical College. In business, Ardath was the owner of Stone Jug Antiques in Atco, NJ, the Blueberry Barn Country Store in Marlton, NJ and Country Français at Peddler’s Village in Lahaska, PA.
Her interests and hobbies included: field hockey, kayaking, canoeing, mountain climbing , hiking, cross country skiing, tennis, sailing, reading, antique furniture refinishing, music, Love Notes Choral Group and singing in her church choirs in New Hampshire, New Jersey, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
In addition to her husband, Louis, Ardath is survived by her daughters: Andrea Olson, her husband, Mark, of White Bear Lake, MN and Kimberly Tillotson, her husband Donald, of Plumsteadville; her two grandchildren, Sawyer and Brady Tillotson and her sister, Gini Dale Donohue Crotts of Glassboro, NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited to her memorial service, 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Doylestown Presbyterian Church, 127 East Court Street, Doylestown. Interment will be private.
