Roberta J. Rutherford, of Doylestown, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, at Fox Chase Cancer Center. She was 84, and the wife of the late Samuel M. Rutherford, who passed away in 2014.

Born in Abington, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Marjorie Greenspan Twilley.

Roberta liked traveling, taking cruises, and camping.

She was a lifelong member of Salem United Church of Christ; a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge; and belonged to Pulseline, a cancer support group at Doylestown Hospital.

Roberta is survived by her daughter, Sharon Rutherford, her son, Anthony “Tony” Rutherford and his wife, Pam, all of Doylestown; and her four grandchildren, Shannon and Kevin Thompson and Sam and MacKenzie Rutherford. She was preceded in death by her son, Alan Rutherford.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, at Salem United Church of Christ, 186 East Court St., Doylestown, where the family will receive guests from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville.
