Joseph Robert “Joe” Jenkins, of Doylestown, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 26, 2017, surrounded by his family.

He was 85 and preceded in death by his bride, Annmarie, to whom he had been married for 55 years.

He is survived by his loving children: Dan Jenkins (Loretta), Dennis Jenkins, Kathy Smith (Dave), as well as his loving grandchildren and great-grandson. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Joey Jenkins.

Joe was born in Abington. He was a graduate of Abington High School and La Salle University. He served in the U.S. Army as a medic during the Korean conflict.

He spent his working career at SPS Technologies which offered Joe and Ann to make many new international friends during several years spent in Ireland and England.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral Mass, 10 a.m., Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown, where the family will receive guests from 9 a.m., until the time of Mass. Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
