John Presley Harris of Doylestown, formerly of Harrisburg passed away on Tuesday October 24, 2017. He was 84 and the beloved husband of Carolyn Greenawalt Harris.

Mr. Harris was a Penn State University graduate and worked for the university for 31 years as an Agricultural Extension agent. John loved the extension service and remained active with local farm shows for 20 years after his retirement.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by his sons, James (Karen) and Jeffrey (Betty); and grandfather of Michael, Lisa, Chris, Sarah, Jack, Ben, and Scott.

His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, Oct. 27 at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown, where the family will receive guests from 10:30 a.m., until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
