Elizabeth A. Shalders, of Doylestown, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018. She
was 96 and the beloved wife of the late Robert G. P. Shalders.

Born in Montclair, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Valentine and Catherine Campion Grohe.

Betty was a graduate of Montclair High School and Katherine Gibbs Business School in New York. She worked on Wall Street for a large brokerage firm for a time and as a secretary at St. Anthony School, White Plains, NY for 20 years.

Betty was an avid gardener, seamstress, singer and pianist and sang in the St. Anthony Church Choir, Mt. Carmel Church Choir and Pine Run and Lakeview choral groups. She volunteered at Doylestown Hospital, Font Hill Museum, Pine Run Community greenhouse and thrift shop and was her home cluster’s Assistant Representative. At Lakeview, she enjoyed being active in the garden club.

Survivors include her daughter: Deborah Ann Shalders, M.D. and her granddaughter: Elizabeth Catherine Shalders.

Services and interment will be private.
